Oldcues.co.uk
📜 From Collector to Maker
Long before I was making cues, I was collecting them — obsessively. I ran a site called oldcues.co.uk, dedicated to antique snooker and billiard cues. It was a proper rabbit hole: over 400 vintage cues passed through my hands, each one with its own quirks, stories, and splinters.
The site’s now closed, but I’ve added this page to keep the content alive. It’s a bit of a time capsule — full of grainy photos, cue specs, and the occasional rant about tip sizes. If you’re into old wood (behave), you might just enjoy it.
It’s not flashy. It’s not polished. But it’s part of the journey — from collector to cue maker, from browsing eBay at 2am to sanding splices in a workshop full of sawdust and regret.
So if you fancy a look back at where it all started, grab a brew and dive in. Just don’t expect modern design or mobile responsiveness — it was built before I knew what a media query was.
